It seems like there's a disparity between what people think they want from retro games and what they actually want. It's the difference between how it was and how you remember it. With Revenge of the Wounded Dragons you get an odd mix of both.
First off, let's just not talk about The Underdome add-on for Borderlands. Only the most avid trophy/achievement addict should buy it. The best thing about it was Moxxi, and she's in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx too.

The first thing that strikes you in White Knight Chronicles is that whilst the environments are quite beautiful, the people are a console-generation behind. Even the equipment on the people looks great. This problem comes of the game being released in Europe two years after its initial Japanese release. The result? The lip-sync is terrible, as if it were passable for the Japanese version and no attempt was made to match the English voice-over.
Remember Wolfenstein RPG? They've done it with Doom II and you'll never guess what they've called it.
