Squenix release Blood of Bahamut trailer

It's been well over five minutes since we've had a new Square-Enix game on DS. Last year saw the release Final Fantasy IV, FF Tactics Advance A2 and FFXII: Revenant Wings on the trusty handheld, but 2009's Blood of Bahamut looks to offer something a little bit different.

Joystiq have posted a video of the Japanese debut trailer and it looks rather odd to be honest. The dual-screen game footage shows 2.5D side-scrolling RTS action (a bit like Revenant Wings, then) facing monolithic, travelling stone beasts that appear to be trying to find their way back to the PS2 adventure, Shadow of the Colossus.

It's early days yet, but hopefully the gameplay will be up to scratch.
