Damnation Developers Dismantled article image

Blue Omega, the developers of the critically lambasted Damnation, has been disbanded citing 'issues' with Codemasters, the title's publisher, as well as poor sales. Following a Twitter post from one of the development team, the news became official once Kotaku reported on it.

The news comes as somewhat of a shame, as with a little help and guidance the company could surely have been a developer of some at least decent titles.

The full story can be found on IGN and Kotaku.

Fans of Serious Sam, the fun, fast and frantic FPS that didn't take itself too seriously, will be delighted to learn that Croteam, Devolver Digital and Majesco Games are re-releasing the title on XBox Live Arcade, complete with a full high definition finish.

Now with online multiplayer and (naturally) HD graphics, it seems like the best may have just gotten better.

Should be good.

Shout out to the superb and wickedly funny tech/gadget blog Boing Boing for finding this one. Check them out, it's a great read!
