It's about that time again! Every August, the predictably late Scottish summer finally arrives and the biggest gaming event in Scotland, Edinburgh Interactive, rolls into town. Taking place Thursday 13th and Friday 14th at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, this year's free event will let gamers get to grips with some of the best new games and rub shoulders with some of the industry's biggest names. All you need to do to attend is visit your local Gamestation store or show up on the day for your free ticket. More information can be found at the official event homepage at here.
The two day event is open to everyone and is a celebration of the creative culture of interactive entertainment. Gamers will be able to enter the Free Play Public Area and be the first in Scotland to play the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Asylum courtesy of publisher Eidos. You can also prove your skills at forthcoming footy title Fifa 10 and take on all comers at Wii Sports Resort thanks to the event's gold sponsor Nintendo.
As always, there will be a ton of fun activities, games to play and things to see before anyone else so make sure you get your tickets and head down to the Corn Exchange this week.
We'll be there to enjoy the festivities so if you spot us, come over and say hi, we're always up for some game-related banter!
Been to the festival in previous years? Want to share your thoughts? Give us a shout in the comment box!
