A la Wii, Raving rabids is a hectic affair of obtuse mini-games broadly designed to make you look like a fool in as many ways as possible.
On the mobile, Rayman's business is decidely more traditional, taking the form of an oldschool platformer.
You must take control of Mr. Ray to do something to these rabbids which are firing plungers and other such nefarious activities. Pointless plot aside, you must run jump and helicopter your way around a bunch of samey samey levels. Dodging and fighting evil rabbids as you go.
Controls are simple, left right up down and jump left right, holding any direction making you run and the middle. Simple in theory at least. It is here that what could have been a great little timewaster becomes... well. Rubbish. Controls are unresponsive, and with some moves requiring a small amount of finesse, well, you die. Throw in some bizarre rabbid skills allowing then to hurt you even when you're not even near their weapons, even when you think you have timed it perfectly to jump over the fucking thing. Even then. Even after twenty tries, it still gets you.
And this is really the broken crux of the game. Will you want to play past the third level where a spinning rabbit just jumps on your head till you die? Not likely. There just isn't enough game here to play. Pretty graphics and nice levels can't make up for mediocrity. Done badly.
