Harmony is tough to maintain in a relationship. The constant tug-of-war between give and take can lead to as much strain as it does euphoria, but like a good whiskey, a well tuned relationship can improve with age. Since its original PC launch in 2002, the Sims series has taught us that there's more to life than locking your sim in a prefabricated prison. There's a big, bad Simmy world out there to explore and EA have finally squeezed it onto the iPhone.

The Godfather II by Craig Wilson | 13-04-09

The Godfather II is one of the most perfect films ever made; It's an elegant, complex and thoughtful meditation on the corruption of power packed with career defining performances. Now imagine for a second that it was in fact directed by Michael Bay who decided to replace the subtle performances and clever dialogue with car chases, shoot outs and Nic Cage, and you'll be no where near close to just how much of a molestation of a classic film this game is.

Recent Need for Speed titles have left a bad taste in the mouth for a lot of fans of the series. Whilst Electronic Art's other franchise Burnout has gone from strength to strength, Need for Speed has been in need for a make over. Thankfully I can say that this instalment is definitely a step in the right direction.

Red Alert 3 by Craig Wilson | 01-12-08

Over the top movie sequences, ridiculous weapons, terrible rock music and an insane, time bending story; Red Alert is back and this time it's turning Japanese. The story picks up with the Soviets facing defeat at the hands of the commie-bashing allies, only to use time travel to erase the man most responsible for the West's victories. In doing so the Russians manage to allow the unguarded Japanese, or Empire of the Rising Sun, to become a third superpower turning the games alternate reality into a dogged three way war for survival.
