Review

The story in Thexder Neo is not exactly the USP of the game (Unique Selling Point in marketing speak). This is by and large because there isn't one. Basically, you're a robot that turns into a jet and shoots lasers, there are bad guys and each level has an exit point. Frankly, the robot/jet/lasers part is reason enough to buy a game for any child of the 80's. Cue "The Touch"... Maybe not.

King’s Bounty: The Legend is a remake of the spiritual prequel of Ubisoft’s Heroes of Might and Magic series. But can a re-imagining of an eighteen year old turn based game really offer anything in these days of high definition graphics and console instant gratification? Surprisingly the answer is yes; eschewing the more strategy oriented gameplay of the Heroes series, King’s Bounty: The Legend turns the focus away from saving the world and instead alights upon one hero and the story of their adventures.
