Forever living in the shadow of the ‘other' survival horror series, Silent Hill's strength lies in tension, freakish abominations and a constant sense of unease. The first outing of the current generation, Homecoming, is a mixed bag. Many of its flaws suggest teething problems in the transition to the next-gen consoles, but these don't necessarily write-off what is a decent first effort from series newcomers Double Helix.
