There is a liberating joy to be found in open-world videogames. Being given the freedom to explore every rooftop, warehouse and garden at your leisure is pure wish fulfillment. How often do you wish you could explore your home town a bit more? There are psychologists who believe it is this desire to explore, and master, our habitat that has been one of the biggest contributing factors to the success of comic book superheroes over the years. Who wouldn't want to break free of social convention and learn the rooftops of our towns like Spiderman or Batman have done?

The Incredible Hulk by Dave Cook | 23-06-08

With Marvel and the film business having another stab at making a decent Hulk movie, it was inevitable that a game tie-in was on the cards, and refreshingly (unlike the recent Iron Man game), The Incredible Hulk aint half bad. It's a confusing mess at times and has some serious issues, but it's a sandbox orgy of destruction that serves up enough fun to keep it's core audience, kids and Marvel fans, content at least.
